We are seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to join the Education and Professional Development Team in North Regional Education as a Part Time Clinical Training Officer working 4 week rotations as a Clinical Training Officer and Ambulance Paramedic. As well as helping to deliver the vocational training, you will also be involved in supporting staff within the regions with their professional development.
This includes delivering Learning in Practice, return to work sessions, driver training and developing individual action plans for staff requiring support. As a Clinical Training Officer, you will be joining a team of experienced staff already working within EPDD across Scotland. Therefore, we are looking for dynamic, flexible, enthusiastic individuals who can work as part of our established busy team.
You must be a registered HCPC Paramedic who holds a first degree or be currently working towards one (already registered on a programme nearing completion). In addition, you should ideally hold or have evidence that you are progressing towards achievement of:
- A Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
- An appropriate level of teaching qualification such as a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Teaching or PGCERT in education
- Level 3 Certificate in Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD) or IHCD equivalent.
You should also be able to demonstrate previous experience of delivering education / supporting students studying at SCQF level 6 and 7. Successful candidates will be expected to practice clinically to maintain their Paramedic / HCPC skill set.

As a part time post holder, the successful candidate will be able to maintain clinical skills while covering shifts as a Paramedic on a four-week rotational basis.
