Outpatient and Community Team Manager
(30-35 hours)
SAH Band 7 (£33,852 - £44,626)
Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic healthcare professional ready to take on the challenge of managing and developing the Outpatient and Community Services provided by St Andrew’s Hospice?
We are looking for a healthcare professional to lead this area of work and the team of staff associated with it. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Band 6 to take their first step into a Band 7 post. You will be an Allied Health Professional or Nurse by background but will have experience or knowledge of project management, health improvement methodology and of managing a small team of staff. This is an important element of the Hospice’s Strategic Plan to ensure we continue to fulfil the Scottish Government’s vision that, everyone in Scotland who needs palliative care will have access to it.
We have in place a wide range of Outpatient Services including: A Wellbeing Programme, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Outpatient clinics, Complementary Therapy and group sessions for Strength and Balance and Fatigue Management, Music Therapy, Mindfulness, Tai Chi and Fatigue Management. Supporting Carers is an important part of our strategy and we have recently recommenced our weekly Carer’s Café. Our vision and plan is to ensure that these services can be accessed by patients and carers at the right time for them at the right stage in their journey. St Andrew’s Hospice has provided specialist palliative care to the population of Lanarkshire for over 30 years and undertook a £9 million refurbishment in 2017/18 of our facilities based in Airdrie. This year we plan to do further work within the Outpatient Department so that we are truly set for the future and all of the exciting developments that come along with that and that is where you come in!
