Advanced Nurse Practitioner –
Braeside Medical Practice, Galashiels
A new opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and hardworking team. We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work up to 30 hours per week. The successful applicant will be already working in an Advanced Nurse Practitioner post and will be required to make clinical decisions, prescribe independently, assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute and long term conditions and have a current NMC membership as an ANP.
The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, committed and experienced. The role will initially involve seeing “on the day” and pre booked appointments, managing daily demand for minor illnesses, working independently in assessment and prescribing, provide advanced levels of autonomous nursing practice and clinical decision making. We would expect some experience in management of urgent care presentations including onward referral for investigations or admission.
We use EMIS PCS and Docman software.
Salary will be negotiable dependent upon skills and experience.
The Practice comprises of 3 established GP Partners (1 full time and 2 part time,) 1 part time salaried GP, 2 Practice Nurses and a supportive Reception/Admin team.
We have access to an in house Pharmacotherapy team, First Contact Physiotherapy team and Wellbeing Advisor support.
Our current list size is 4950 patients.
