A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Band 5 community mental health nurse to work with adults experiencing both acute and severe and enduring mental health problems. The post is based within Mid Argyll and the post holder will be highly skilled and confident in the delivery of recovery-based approaches, having the ability to autonomously manage their workload safely and effectively, demonstrating enhanced skills such as clinical risk assessment/management and positive risk taking.


The successful candidate will be a registered mental health nurse with a current valid registration with the NMC. A degree or equivalent specialist knowledge is required. Extensive Band 5 post registration experience with adults is required with the post holder experienced at providing evidence based interventions for the full range of mental health problems. Experience in community mental health is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they have the transferrable skills and experience to work a autonomously within a remote and rural area.


This is a permanent full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week over five days. 


You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively to various work locations within NHS Highland Argyll & Bute HSCP.
