An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 6 months fixed term position as a Macmillan Patient Engagement Coordinator. This post will have responsibility for patient engagement in the development of a new nutritional care pathway project for cancer patients within The Scottish Borders.

You will be responsible for gathering meaningful feedback from patients and their families to help with the development of the pathway. This role will support the project manager in meeting the project aims by providing specialist project, technical and administrative support. As well as helping to ensure that patients are successful in meeting agreed dietetic objectives and to help review their progress.

You will be part of the small project team, working closely with the project manager, but also embedded within a friendly larger team of dietitians and support staff. We would welcome applications from a variety of different backgrounds and experience within healthcare/nutrition is not essential but advantageous.

This role will be based within The Borders General Hospital, which is within commuting distance from Edinburgh, but will also have scope to work from home where possible.

For this post you will be required to do some travel in order to deliver service needs, and a driving licence is therefore essential.
