Applications are invited from enthusiastic candidates for the post of Quality Improvement Fellow based at the Department of Orthopaedics, Golden Jubilee University National Hospital.  This post is suitable for qualified doctors at any stage of training, who are seeking experience of undertaking quality improvement activity in an established research environment. An interest in orthopaedic surgery is desirable.

The post-holder will participate in the planning, design, organisation, carrying out, analysis and dissemination of orthopaedic quality improvement projects.  Projects may be self-selected or can be allocated by the Orthopaedic Department.

The post will also include regular clinical duties, contributing to the day time ward and clinic rota and the ~1 in 12 out of hours hospital at night rota. There will also be opportunities, if appropriate, to assist in orthopaedic theatres and work with high volume surgeons in one of the largest lower limb arthroplasty centres in the UK.

The post is for a fixed term of 6 or 12 months in the first instance. The post will start 1st February 2023. The post is not educationally approved.
