We are looking for a talented graphic designer to join NHS Fife’s Communications team. This new post will create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media to inspire and attract our diverse target audience of internal and external stakeholders.


You will be responsible for the entire design process of defining requirements, visualising / concept development and creating graphics including illustrations, campaign branding, report design and layout along with photography and image library management. You’ll also be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, publications, magazines, patient information, exhibitions and more.


Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.


Responsibilities
• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints
• Conceptualise visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, campaign material and other designs in line with brand guidelines
• Test graphics across various media including print, digital and social media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and talk to the target audience


Requirements
• Proven graphic design experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with Adobe design software
• Experience of print procurement
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
