Programme Officer - Pharmacy Technician (Peripatetic Work Based Assessor)

Hours:  37.5 Hours, 1 WTE in total (full or part time options) 

Duration:  Fixed term / secondment up to March 2023 (secondment only for NHS staff in the first instance)

What you'll do
This post will support delivery of the new NES Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) Scheme across Scotland, supporting the assessment of PTPTs undertaking the SVQ in Pharmacy Services at SCQF Level 8, to ensure a quality standardised programme. 

What you'll bring
This is an exciting new initiative offering secondment/fixed term opportunity to a pharmacy technician.   Significant experience as a work based assessor is required as well as a flexible approach to learning and problem solving, effective prioritisation and sound judgement.  Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and training providers will also be essential for the delivery of this post. The nature of the post will also allow you to further develop your knowledge and skills in an education and training environment at a national level.

Experience and understanding of the SQA assessment processes and quality management systems is desirable.

You should be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
