Practice Educator – Pharmacy (Post-Registration Foundation programme for Newly Qualified Pharmacists)

Hours: Part Time; 15 hours per week (potentially more to be available)

Duration: Fixed term / secondment until 31st March 2023

What you'll do

This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative team within NES Pharmacy for minimum 2 days a week on a temporary basis up to the end of March 2023 (more sessions may become available). This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with an interest in educational initiatives to expand their career experience.

This role will involve working within the NES Post-Registration Foundation programme for Pharmacists workstream to support the Senior Educators and the Principal Lead in the implementation of the cross-sector programme. You will have working knowledge of the programme, good interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise your workload to meet the demands of the various stakeholders and be able to work using your initiative. You will be highly motivated with a desire to support the further implementation of this programme and workstream deliverables. You will work closely with members of the NES team, community pharmacists, hospital and primary care pharmacists as well as educational leads and senior stakeholders.

What you'll bring 

You will be a qualified Pharmacist with a Masters’ degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.  You will ideally have completed and passed the previous foundation programme. You should be member of the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.​​​​​​​

Please note that travel across Scotland may be required as a business as usual requirement of this role.
