We are seeking to recruit an Engagement Officer (Band 6) on a two-year fixed term contract to support the Caring for Ayrshire Programme. Caring for Ayrshire is an exciting new programme that will transform health and care services across Ayrshire and Arran, working in partnership with our communities to explore new and innovative ways of designing and delivering health and care services. The Engagement Officer role will identify innovative and creative ways of engaging with our citizens, communities, staff and partners. As the Engagement Officer, you will support the team to develop and deliver effective and comprehensive engagement plans, communications, stakeholder engagement and public events.
Who are we looking for?
A passionate Engagement Officer who will support the team with engagement through developing and maintaining partnerships and identifying opportunities for collaboration with communities to inform the Caring for Ayrshire Programme. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to build relationships with people across a wide area and from diverse backgrounds.
Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge with experience of planning, delivering and evaluating stakeholder engagement, this post will be critical in ensuring that NHS Ayrshire and Arran meets its statutory and policy requirements and best practice. The post holder will work in partnership with stakeholders, both locally and regionally, to co-ordinate engagement activity across the health and social care system. This post requires demonstrable experience of engagement methodologies, networking, project work, with strong communication and organisational skills.
You will be expected to travel across Ayrshire and Arran with a requirement to work in the evening or weekend on occasion.
This is a fixed term / secondment opportunity for 2 years.
