Angus Health & Social Care Partnership, Brechin Health Centre, has a vacancy for a Salaried Leadership General Practitioner working with the Practice Manager, salaried GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners; you will provide critical clinical leadership to the practice leadership team in Brechin Health Centre, a Board run (2c) practice delivering services to a practice population of circa 9,500 patients.

This post is open to Job Share/Flexible working arrangement, with the hours to be agreed with successful candidate/candidates.

Through the leadership team, and supported by Angus Health & Social Care Partnership and NHS Tayside, you will shape and deliver a sustainable service to the registered population, building a culture of quality, efficiency and safety.

As one of 4 Board run practices in NHS Tayside you will have support from leaders within the other Board run practices, and from the Professional Clinical Development Lead for 2C practices, and opportunities to collaborate with this peer group as well as the well-developed Angus North East Cluster which Brechin is located within.

We are looking for an innovator, with experience of change management, quality improvement and evidence of leading or supporting successful primary care teams, to work with the well-established extended multi-disciplinary team, which includes community nurses, physiotherapy, podiatry, mental health and wellbeing nurse and listening therapy services.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a GP who wants to work within a local community, developing and delivering services in a way that meets the needs of the population, with the focus firmly on not only improving outcomes but achieving high levels of job satisfaction

This post which attracts the top of scale payment and an additional leadership allowance may also be eligible for an attractive relocation package. 

£63,187- £94,311 (pro rata) + £10,547 per annum management/leadership allowance

​​​​​​​Developing and nurturing our GP workforce is a priority for us in Tayside, and this post offers 33 days annual leave +8 public holidays, as well as study leave and regular, weekly protected time for personal study and development.

​​​​​​​You must have full GMC registration with licence to practice and on the GMC GP register. MBCHB (or equivalent primary medical degree)

Certificate of completion of training (CCT) in general practice by PMETB (or equivalent e.g. or certificate of Prescribed Experience from JCPTGP)
