PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

To undertake study to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional standards for: Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting)

Trainee Health Visitor - permanent post of 1 year training (paid under Annex U, 75% of top band 7) moving to a permanent band 7 Health Visiting post on successful completion.

Are you a dynamic, hardworking and innovative qualified nurse or midwife? Are you ready for further study?  We are currently able to offer permanent contracts and funding for course fees, in preparation for taking on a key role in delivering health support for children and families in Lothian.

You will be appointed to a full time  trainee Health Visitor role (paid according to annexe U of agenda for change) progressing to a Band 7 Health Visiting post on successful completion of the programme and registration on Part 3 of the NMC register.  Graduates will be expected to consolidate practice within NHS Lothian for two years post registration.

  • Be an experienced qualified Nurse or Midwife currently on part 1 of the NMC register
  • Be free to undertake full time study commencing September 2020
  • Have appropriate academic credit rating/or evidence of recent study
