PCF, the Procurement Centre of Expertise for Health, works in collaboration with health boards to ensure the highest level of patient care through the provision of a wide range of goods and services via a series of best value National Contracts and Distribution Services.

The Post: 
This post is part of the pharmacy team with the key job purpose to undertake efficient and effective procurement contract development and contract implementation across a portfolio of programmes related to branded and patent expiry medicines to required legislative and national policy and service delivery standards. Additionally, the role is to develop, implement and maintain improvement projects that ensure continued development of procurement and supply chain processes on behalf of health boards. Data and information are key to the success of this process. 

The Candidate:
The candidate should have completed, or have an undertaking to complete, Level 6 corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) and/or a relevant business degree and/or evidence of equivalent qualifications and/or evidence of relevant experience preferably within the procurement profession.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Location and Working Pattern:
Candidates can work in either be Edinburgh or National Distribution Centre at Larkhall.
