We wish to appoint a Health Improvement Support Worker to support the planning and organisation of the Health Shops activities with the overall aim of improving health and reducing health inequalities. Our Health Shops are in Ninewells, Perth Royal Infirmary, Whitehills and Links Health Centre. The post holder will be primarily based at Ninewells with travel to other Health Shops in Tayside.
The post holder will also provide general administrative support to Health Shops Manager on activities related to Advice Centre, Ninewells.
Duties will include greeting visitors to the Health Shop and helping ensure they are referred to appropriate help, answering telephone calls, data base updates, opening and distributing mail and filing.
Applicants will be qualified to Scottish Vocational Qualifications Level 2/3 or equivalent experience of working in a health or social care setting. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential as is the ability to operate within a multi-agency environment.
The post holder will require the ability to work as part of a multi-agency team as well as independently.
