We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking Registered nurse to join the Ophthalmology Service at NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital.
The Eye Centre is a bespoke, purpose built center, integrating Ophthalmology Out Patient Clinics, Pre & post Op areas and Ophthalmology Theatres. The new unit aims to ensure a high level of quality and provision of elective Cataract services to meet the demands of an aging population.
The post is a rotational post covering all areas of the unit, Ophthalmology Theatres, Pre & Post op areas, Ophthalmology clinics. The post holder will have day to day clinical responsibility for the areas, with some managerial responsibility. The post holder will be responsible for the unit in the absence of the SCN. The post holder will also be expected to support the Clinical Educator in the delivery of education to all existing and newly appointed staff.
We are looking for a Registered Adult Nurse with a First Level nursing degree (or equivalent) and extensive Ophthalmology theatre experience and managerial experience.
