An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Radiographer to join the GJNH Radiology Team.

The GNJH provides essential waiting times imaging for all Health Boards in NHS Scotland, along with specialist imaging services as the West of Scotland Cardiothoracic Centre and supports the NHS Golden Jubilee site by providing in-patient imaging.

This role is to provide specialist imaging within the following clinical areas: MRI/ Cardiac MRI, CT/ Cardiac CT, Cardio-Vascular Cath Labs, Plain Film, Dexa and Fluoroscopy & Theatre. You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the innovative Cardio-Thoracic services such as Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service (SACCS), Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit (SPVU), Scottish National Acute Heart Failure Service (SNAFS), and the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) service. Orthopaedic Imaging is also delivered by NHSGJ. NHS Golden Jubilee has a centre of excellence and innovation which leads to exciting research opportunities for the department.

You will be required to justify and perform radiographic examinations, providing direct care maintaining a high quality diagnostic service in order to assist in the management of patients within the Radiology Imaging Services.

The GJNH currently has 4 MRI Scanners, 2 CT scanners 5 Cardiac Cath Labs, 3 plain film rooms, 1 Dexa Scanner, 1 dual purpose Imaging/Fluoroscopy room, as well as numerous Image Intensifiers and mobile units.  Rotation through a selection of these modalities based on your previous experience is essential, and training in the specialist imaging protocols will be fully provided once in post. You will be required to participate in a department shift system covering the service 24/7. There will be a commitment to 7 day working over an extended day, therefore a flexible approach will be required.
