ANP bank  ( various hours) for our expanding ANP team that covers NHS Lanarkshire in hours urgent care and Lanarkshire's OOH service. Base Almada street, work base various.  Shift Pattern 24/7 adhoc.

The Advanced Practitioners will work autonomously across Primary, Community and Acute Services during the in and out of hours period, covering seven days including public holidays.  They will be responsible for the clinical decision making for the population including assessment and treatment of patients in across the Primary, Community and Acute settings.

The Advanced Practitioner will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT)/medical staff including the OOH Hub and Acute Services.  Communicate on a daily basis about any patient they have seen overnight/ at weekend and who needs to be followed up by the GP / Acute Services during normal working hours

The Advanced Practitioner provides assessment,  clinical care and management of both stable and acutely unwell  patient and his/her family, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge, having overall responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the delivery of advanced care.   Medical telehealth/telephone support will be available when required from an identified source. 

Applicants will be NMC registered Nurse, have a minimum of SCQF level 11 Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice (including V300 prescribing) and have evidence of completion of an appropriate  Advanced Practice Competency Framework.

In addition, you will have a significant and demonstrable level of clinical practice and ongoing employment within primary/urgent/emergency care, including 1 year at an Advanced Practice level.

Successful candidates would need to provide ongoing evidence of practice in line with NMC requirements, and local governance, this would encompass mini-clinical exams, case based discussions, reflections on prescribing. 

Please note, you will be required to undertake an assessment and interview. Full details of the assessment will be provided prior to the day. These are envisaged to take place in December 2022 (5th or 6th).

Start dates and an induction plan will be negotiated with successful candidates on an individual basis.
