This is an exciting permanent post in the Health Improvement Team, Department of Public Health for a creative individual. 

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a digital and communications strategy and delivery plan in line with the priorities for the Public Health Department. This will include responsibility for the development of key messages, production of digital communications, marketing and digital media relations. 

You will also support the use of new digital technology as a key aspect of programmes/interventions to improve health and reduce inequalities by providing information on current and emerging digital technologies to staff. 

You will also act as first point of contact for advice and guidance in work related to digital. 

You should be educated to degree level in a relevant area or have equivalent experiential learning which must be demonstrated through a well-developed portfolio of evidence.

You will have knowledge and experience of the technical and reporting capabilities of web-based systems/other forms of digital media and have experience of developing and maintaining digital resources which includes use of social media. Experience will ideally be from within a health setting. 

You will have highly developed communication skills and experience of developing, delivering and evaluating interventions to promote the use of digital technologies i.e. presentations and specialist training sessions. Being able to effectively manage projects and work on own initiative and to tight time scales is also necessary.

This post will also have line management responsibility, therefore experience of management of staff is required. 

Hours: 37.5 per week, based in Afton House, Ailsa Hospital.
