Associate Adviser for General Practice in
East of Scotland Region
General Practice Educational Release Programme / Trainer Development
Hours: 2 PA ( 8 hours per week)

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
Applications are invited from General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the East Region of the Scotland Deanery.
The role will involve the responsibility for the planning and organisation of the Educational Release Programme for the East region and to work with the local TPD team to provide additional support to local Trainer Development. It will also involve representing the East region on a national basis for each of these roles. In addition, there will be involvement in other Associate Adviser roles such as educational delivery/induction/ARCP panels.
This role will involve being an active member of the East Region GP Training Team with regular contact and liaison with East Training Programme Directors and the Assistant Director as well as colleagues across Scotland.
