As a result of an ongoing vacancy we have decided to test a different way of delivering leadership to the Speech & Language Therapy teams based in Whyteman's Brae Hospital and Cowdenbeath Clinic.  We are offering two lead clinician posts on a secondment basis, fixed term for 1 year.  

•    The leadership post in Whyteman's Brae Hospital is for 3 days per week.
•    The leadership post in Cowdenbeath Clinic is for 2 days per week.

Both of these posts can be combined with existing posts within the SLT service.    

The two part-time post-holders will work with the cluster to co-ordinate an effective service delivery at universal, targeted and individual level for children and young people in their specific geographical area.  

The post holders will work together, and as part of the lead clinician group, on shared initiatives across the geographical area and those related to the wider SLT service.    

We are looking for experienced speech and language therapists who are interested in testing new ways of working.  You will have knowledge / experience of project management / quality improvement and a systematic approach to service delivery, evaluation and reporting.

You will require excellent negotiation skills and the ability to focus on, and deliver, agreed outcomes.  We need people who are creative, energetic and innovative to take this work forward alongside the operational lead and lead clinician team in Fife.  

In depth knowledge of GIRFEC, CYP Act 2014, Ready to Act and legislation related to CYP is essential.
