We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual in the role of health care support worker within our pre operative team within Forth Valley Royal Infirmary

The role will involve working within the pre-operative department supporting registered nursing staff to deliver high quality patient centred care. They will also be working within the pre operative investigations clinic working independently carrying out venepuncture and ECG recordings following protocols / policies to help to streamline the patient’s pathway to their admission.

The 13.5-hour post will be split over 3 days (Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible to meet the demands of the clinics.

The successful applicant will require having:

Excellent venepuncture skills

Good communication skills

Good organisational skills

Excellent team working skills with the ability to work using their own initiative

Excellent time management skills

Knowledge of stock rotation and ordering
