A vacancy has arisen within our team for a 37.5 hour Children’s Nurse post to join our developing Community Children Nursing (CCN) service in Dumfries and Galloway. The candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to improve the health and well being of our children and families to support early discharge from hospital.
The successful candidate will join the existing CCN service which is currently developing; this includes CCN’s and health care support workers. Together they will work closely with families and colleagues in the NHS and partner agencies to co-ordinate, plan, implement and evaluate care for children and young people within a variety of community and health care settings. Good communication and organisational skills coupled with the ability to work within a team setting as well as independently, will be an essential requirement of this post.
The successful candidate will be offered case supervision for child protection, clinical and management supervision. In return NHS Dumfries and Galloway offer the opportunity for career progression and educational development.
This post will require the successful applicant to obtain PVG clearance.
