Applications are invited for Mental Health Nurses at Band 6 in the Crisis Assessment & Treatment Service (CATS Team). We are looking for experienced nurses who have a working knowledge of community services and crisis work. The post holder is responsible for assessing people in acute mental health crisis in the community as part of a well established nurse led Crisis Service working across Dumfries & Galloway. The post holder will work with colleagues in the team and in the wider mental health network to ensure that service users are offered the most appropriate service available to meet their needs in times of crisis. The post holder will demonstrate skills in risk assessment and risk management and be willing to offer a flexible service which operates on a 24/7 basis. The post holder must hold a current UK driving license in order to travel across the region in line with service needs.
This is a full time post but consideration will be given to candidates requesting part time.
