An exciting vacancy has arisen, within the Lung Cancer Service, based  at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We are looking for a Band 6 Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse, to work within an expert and dynamic team. The post is a specialist role and applicant's expertise should include the following skill set. You will act as a key worker across the whole care pathway you should have advanced clinical/ diagnostic skills, ability to assess patients' holistic needs, advanced communication and advocacy skills, empathy for patients and their families, excellent decision making skills and leadership within the MDT and wider cancer teams.

 

As part of your role, you will be a highly visible presence across the specialty and wards, working to ensure the highest standards of care, setting and maintaining standards of clinical excellence and continuously improving experiences for patients, families and carers. You will be supported by an experienced and committed team.

 

  It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with substantial post registration.

You will should also have experience of caring for those with a cancer diagnosis and evidence of an interest in developing further in this area.
