This newly developed post sits within the Children and Young People’s Community Nursing Service, using the Getting It Right for every Child approach.  You will support the management and organise a defined clinical caseload of children who have ADHD with a wide range of psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties within community out-patient settings at Tier 2.

You will promote and contribute to an effective multi-disciplinary/agency service for this group, in a way that is flexible and responsive to changing needs and demands, working closely with all relevant services and promoting and developing the role of the Children’s Community ADHD Nurse

You will contribute to the review, assessment and evidence-based intervention with this population, their families and carers along with an in-depth experience and understanding of the skills and knowledge required in a community setting to support children and young people who have ADHD.

You require a first level registration and post registration qualification/training in child/adolescent mental health and/or relevant field. You also require evidence of significant professional development, knowledge, skills and experience within at least one of: Child Health/Development or Mental Health/Clinical Psychology specialities or evidence of willingness to undertake further study/training in the necessary specialist area.
