A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Assessment Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Health Care Support Worker. The successful applicant will have a flexible approach to the role and will support Registered Nursing staff in the delivering high quality, patient centred care to acute medical admissions.

The role centres on the development of an ambulatory care model within the unit and the successful applicant would provide both administrative and clinical support to ensure seamless patient care.

You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, have the ability to promote high quality person centred care, and have a genuine interest in caring for people who are unwell. You must have a willingness and appetite for life-long learning and advancing the role of the Health Care Support Worker in order to develop and enhance your own personal development. You will be expected to work a flexible work pattern which includes working a 12 hour shift pattern across 7 days.

Skills in venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recording are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
