We require a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to work within Inverclyde Mental Health Inpatient Services. Applications are invited from individuals who have a desire to demonstrate and deliver compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the inpatient ward/department. You will be responsible for contributing to the care and support of people involved in the inpatient mental health service. You will provide care and support as part of an agreed plan of care which involves the use of strength based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person.
You are required to be able to undertake duties without direct supervision working in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies, as well as participating in regular Nurse Line Management Supervision and Clinical Supervision. It would be desirable if you have experience of working in a care environment and are educated to, or actively working towards SVQ3 /SCQF level 6. The shift pattern for this post is Early: 7am - 3pm, Late: 1.30pm - 9.30pm & Nightshift: 9.15pm - 7.15am
