An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 District Nursing posts within East Renfrewshire HSCP.
(Full or part time hours will be considered).
As a member of the Primary Health Care Team and working collaboratively with the Senior Nurse and Nurse Team Leader, the District Nurse will assist in the implementation of local and national strategies and will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team.
Working in partnership with other health professionals in the HSCP, Acute Services and voluntary agencies, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including health improvement initiatives, for a defined caseload. You will contribute to health improvement initiatives to individuals and families on the caseload and to the wider community.
You will also be responsible for the appropriate use of resources, including equipment, supplies and manpower within their department. They will have autonomy in matters of nursing clinical decision making.
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and have substantial post registration experience and a post registration BSC/Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District. A BSC/Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing is essential to the post. A current Driving Licence is required for this post. The shift pattern is 5/7.
