An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent appointment to the post of ‘Associate Director of Nursing, Primary & Community Health Services / Chief Nurse for the Health & Social Care Partnership’ within NHS Borders.


This dynamic and challenging post will require strong and focused professional nursing leadership and be accountable for the development, delivery and implementation of professional nursing standards, ensuring best practice and highest standards of clinical performance are delivered across the primary and community services of NHS Borders.


As a key member of the Health & Social Care Senior Management Team, the post is central to integrated decision making when working with partners from across health and social care.


The post holder will have experience of leading and managing the implementation of change whilst maintaining safe, quality and affordable care. 


It is essential you are educated to Masters Degree level or equivalent, are a Registered Nurse with valid Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and have a proven track record of delivering change in a senior Health and Social Care role. A current driving licence is essential. This post is for 37.5 hours per week with an on-call rota system.
