NHS Tayside has a vacancy for a Clinical Fellow (Locum Appointments for Service) post in Vascular Surgery at Core Surgical Trainee year 1 or above from 5 February 2020 until 4 August 2020 (6 months covering maternity leave)
The post will be based at Ninewells Hospital. The post holder will be required to work under the supervision of consultant staff in the management of patients. The successful applicant will participate in full on-call duties for vascular surgery on a one in six frequency that includes weekends, there is no overnight on-call
The appointee will be expected to perform at a level equivalent to that of CST1 or above
The post will involve exposure to the full range of elective (including complex vascular access and complex aortic aneurysm interventions excluding open thoraco-abdominal repair) and emergency vascular surgery
While the post is not recognised for training by the Postgraduate Dean, the post is of high educational value
