This post provides an exciting opportunity to join a team of established Urology Clinical Nurse Specialists [CNSs]. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Registered Nurse who wishes to develop clinical expertise, leadership and management skills. The focus of the post will be Bladder cancer. There will be some crossover with Prostate cancer and assisting with other patient groups attending the service, particularly during leave periods of other CNSs. You will work with the multi disciplinary team and will help to develop a model of care to provide support, assessment and education for this group of patients. The post holder will work with others in the Multidisciplinary Team to provide improved co-ordination of the care of patients with urological cancers. You will ensure there is a seamless service for patients and their families. The role will focus on management of the patient journey [cancer tracking, MDT attendance, results clinics, nurse-led / virtual clinics] and further skills development including Flexible Cystoscopy. You will work within agreed protocols and completion of the Clinical Skills Assessment and Non Medical Prescribing Modules are also essential. You will have completed a nursing degree and current NMC Registration is a requirement of the post. Relevant post registration experience within the specialty is essential.  The current shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday. This post is for North Glasgow and will be based primarily within Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
