The District Nurse has day to day managerial responsibility for the area including supervision and deployment of staff. The District Nurse will have responsibility for assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans, ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance. This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
