*Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager.  The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.

 

An initial 12 month Secondment opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic registered mental health nurse to join our Mental Health/Addictions Service within HMP Glenochil and the other at HMPYOI Cornton Vale within NHS Forth Valley.

 

The applicant will demonstrate a sound knowledge of Mental Health and Addictions as well as experience of delivering high quality person–centred care whilst working in a complex multi-disciplinary setting. The ability to co-ordinate the healthcare team in a multi-disciplinary manner is essential. The successful candidate will have experience in developing practice in line with local and national policy.


Applicants will be a first level registered mental health nurse that can provide evidence of ongoing personal development. Excellent communication skills are required.


You will be expected to work Monday to Friday but with occasional flexibility expected in line with service needs.
