Based in Livingston, NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services (CFS) has the remit to protect NHS Scotland from financial crime. In achieving this, CFS provides a comprehensive, integrated and professional service to NHS Scotland by proactively identifying and undertaking investigations of suspected financial crime. We are seeking a suitably experienced individual to join our Patient Claims Team.
The Patient Claims Team delivers a national programme of patient exemption checking in accordance with the Penalty Charge (Scotland) 1999 Regulations. The Team is the first line of deterrence for patients who mistakenly or fraudulently claim exemption.
You will be a member of a small Team, whose principal activities include confirming claims with the appropriate checking agency, contacting patients where entitlement to exemption cannot be confirmed and taking the necessary follow up action.
The successful candidate must comply with the Mandatory induction Stands for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland 2009 and with the code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
