An opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager with experience of working across both Primary and Secondary Care including engagement with independent contractors. This is an exciting time to be leading our Oral Health Service as we work to implement the National Oral Health Improvement Plan and thrive to be an exemplar service in the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clydes (NHSGGC)Moving Forward Together Strategy.
Our Oral Health service currently operates from 30 sites across NHSGGC, including the Glasgow Dental Hospital & School, we have integrated relationships with both and for the provision of student programmes at both post graduate and undergraduate level. We are presently undertaking a review of our Public Dental Service and the General Manager will be expected to take the lead in implementing any changes that are identified from this review.
You should be educated to Masters Degree level or equivalent experience, with substantial senior management experience within a large complex organisation, preferably within the public sector.
Oral Health experience whilst desirable is not essential for the role, however, good interpersonal skill, people focus and the ability to problem solve are seen as key.
You should also have the ability to demonstrate integrity and effective leadership and management skills enabling successful redesign programmes to improve services and tackle inequalities.
The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
