An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and positive individual to join the Primary Care Improvement Portfolio team, primarily to support Scottish Patient Safety Programme activities.


The Scottish Patient Safety Programme aims to reduce avoidable harm to patients in in health care through the use of tools, techniques and learning that will improve patient safety. A key element of care includes the use of medicines. This post will be essential in the overall coordination of improvement activity related to medicines across the health care system in Scotland.


As an experienced administrator, you will provide a range of support tasks including organising meetings/events, diary management, minute taking, arranging travel and accommodation, processing invoices, and liaising with health and social care professionals and other colleagues throughout Scotland. At times the candidate will also be required to support portfolio-wide activities based on business demand.


You should be educated to HNC level or have demonstrable equivalent experience in administration. Possessing sound and effective communication skills with good attention to detail, you will already have gained sufficient experience in a similar role and adopt a flexible approach to resolve issues proactively. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
