The Directorate of Public Health’s smoking cessation team co-ordinates and leads work to support the health improvement agenda.  We work in close partnership with the local authorities, third sector and community planning partners.


The post holder will to contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of evidence-based health promotion activities with the overall aim of improving health of adults in Tayside and reducing health inequalities.


We require a degree, or equivalent in a relevant discipline and experience of working in health promotion or a related area. The post holder will require an understanding of the health improvement policy agenda, have good project management skills and experience of partnership working.  Training, facilitation and group work skills are required as are research and evaluation and IT skills.


The post holder will be required to travel to cover duties throughout a wide geographical area.


37.5 hours per week (workable over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday).
