We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team of 16 Dietitians and 3 Dietetic Assistants in this busy and friendly department.

The post offers excellent experience within Paediatrics.  The successful applicant will have experience and a demonstrated interest in Paediatrics.  Working with the other band 6 and band 5 Dietitians the post-holder will contribute to the service to specified outpatient clinics, the children’s ward and group education sessions and be able to manage a busy caseload.  The paediatric service also benefits from the support of a band 3 dietetic assistant and clerical support.

Forth Valley Paediatric Service includes the specialist areas of cystic fybrosis, diabetes, coeliac disease, IBD, renal, and allergy.  The post holder will have responsibility for an element of this service but will be required to cross cover to other areas within their competencies. 

The post holder will possess excellent communication skills, be skilled in delivering behaviour change education, be committed to personal development and it is vital that they are a team player. 

They must be able to work as part of a proactive team of Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants.  The post-holder would be expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary provide some cover to the department duty service.

This post is suitable for an experienced band 5 dietitian wishing to move into a specialist area or a band 6 dietitian looking to develop their experience in this area. Experience in paediatrics is highly desirable.

This post is based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital but the post-holder may be required to deliver some services at Stirling Community Hospital.
