Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
- Providing project management support, where applicable. Planning and organising a variety of tasks, including the involvement in multiple projects and programmes of work.
- Ensuring project management processes are adopted and where appropriate proposing changes in working practices.
- Coordinating and contributing to the production of risk registers, operational plans, reports, communications, minutes, course evaluations, promotional materials and statistics.
- Supervising the planning and organising of events such as online webinars, training courses, teaching programmes, workshops and/or public events.
- Line management of staff as required. This involves day to day liaison and regular meetings to plan and co-ordinate blocks of work; allocate responsibilities and activities; share information; offer advice and support; reallocate duties as required, and recruitment and selection processes as required.
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to;
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Considerable experience of providing high level administrative support to a Senior Manager
- Well-developed organisational, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently at all levels in the workplace.
- A diligent approach that ensures high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to always operate with tact and diplomacy.
