Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, GIRLTV

 

Band 7 – 37.5 hours per week (1.0WTE)


£37,570-£44,688 pro rata

There is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join the well-established GIRLTV pharmacy team. This team leads the clinical pharmacy service to the following areas: Gastro-intestinal Medicine, Renal/Liver Medicine, Transplant Surgery (Liver and Renal), Vascular/General Surgery and Haematology at the RIE site.
We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work within this team to promote and deliver best clinical practice in line with local and national guidelines.  Initially the post holder will work closely with members of the vascular surgery and renal medicine multidisciplinary teams.  Both specialties can be complex and include patients on high risk medication regimens where the input from the pharmacy team is integral to patient care.  Within renal the post holder will gain experience in all aspects of renal medicine including renal replacement therapy.
Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent and be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). It is desirable to have completed or be working towards a Post Graduate Clinical Diploma and an Independent Prescribing qualification. Candidates will have gained experience working in a patient focused clinical environment, using their knowledge and skills to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines.
Public holiday, weekend service and on-call service requirements are included in this post.
