To undertake the role of Endoscopy Pre-Assessment Specialist Nurse, utilising specialist endoscopy clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment regarding endoscopy investigations and alternative in imaging.
Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives regarding GI imaging and preparation for endoscopic investigation.
Contributing and supporting the development of the Endoscopy service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
