You will be an autonomous registered practitioner with a key role in supporting of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde’s strategic vision.
You must have a committed and resilient approach to providing person centred perioperative care
You will be responsible for co-ordinating the day to day management of the theatre department and ensure efficient patient throughput during the perioperative period.
Other responsibilities will to be liaisie closely with members of the multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty team to ensure a high standard of person centred care to this defined patient group.
You should have advanced perioperative knowledge and skills to direct and provide strong leadership in the provision of a high quality patient experience, ensuring safe management of patients’ during the perioperative journey.
This a key role in supporting the Lead nurse
It is essential you are a Registered Nurse or a Registered Operating Department Practitioner with recent senior management experience and have current professional registration. You should also be able to demonstrate highly specialist clinical knowledge and expertise and have experience of previous staff management.
The hours of this post are worked mainly Monday to Friday.
