You will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a highly skilled, efficient high quality diagnostic cardiac service to the patients attending . The purpose of the role is to deliver the highest quality of patient care by managing resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring appropriate training of staff and following national, corporate and departmental procedures.  You will have a senior role in the provision of a highly skilled, professional and efficient cardiac service to all departments within and to externally sourced patients when required. As a Chief Cardiac Physiologist who manages one of the cardiac services and is also skilled in specialist areas of cardiology, you will regularly have to prioritise and organise his/her workload and allocate and supervise, when required, the work of other staff in order to ensure continuity of service and patient care.  This role involves recording routine 12 lead ecgs, fitting ambulatory heart rate and BP monitors.  All training will be given on site.    You will be required to perform and report echocardiograms unsupervised as an independent practitioner.  You should have a Physiology Degree including professional body technical and theoretical knowledge acquired through departmental training programmes and through study for professional examinations.

The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
