UNIT OPERATIONAL MANAGER – UNSCHEDULED CARE & MEDICAL SERVICES
The role of Unit Operational Manager for Unscheduled Care and Medical Services based at Dr Gray’s Hospital is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the redesign of services within the largest District General Hospital in NHS Grampian. A local transformation project is underway and the successful applicant will play a key role in delivering on affordable, sustainable and innovative services for the population of Moray and beyond.
As part of the hospital management and leadership team you will lead, manage and be accountable for the planning and delivery of the services within your portfolio. This will be achieved in line with NHS Grampian’s core values of Caring-Listening-Improving.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic person with excellent communication and leadership skills who wants to work with people to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care.
It is essential that you are educated to Master’s Degree level or equivalent and able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and managing change in a Health and Social Care role. The ability to seek and incorporate the views of other significant stakeholders into the long term strategic direction of the hospital is necessary, as is an understanding of clinical service delivery. There will be the requirement to complete a psychometric test as part of the recruitment process in advance of interview.
Whilst this post is based within Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin travel throughout Grampian and beyond will be required. A current driving licence is essential. The post holder will be required to participate in an on-call rota.
