We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join the Extended Community Care Team in the Helensburgh and Lomond area.
This is a Band 5 (pro rata) part time post 22.5 hrs per week and includes weekend working and cover for late shifts until 10pm.
The postholder will be based in Garelochead providing services to Garelochead,Rosneath,Kilcreggan and Arrochar and will also be expected to work when required in the Helensburgh area.
Working with Community Nurses and other professionals you will deliver planned programmes of care to individuals, families,carers and communities in the area.You will contribute to the delivery of health care in the community and assist in driving the reablement agenda,working directly with the multidiciplinary team to prevent hospital admission and facilitate discharge.
It is essential that you are a First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience and skills relevant to community nursing.Previous community nursing experience would be desirable.
You will have good communication skills,the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team and evidence of continuing professional development.
You will be expected to travel effiecently and effectively to various woork locatons throughout NHS Highland Argyll & Bute HSCP.
