WestMARC provides a range of rehabilitation technology services for the West of Scotland. This area includes six Health Boards and stretches from Oban in the north to in the South. Falkirk in the east and the islands of the in the west. It serves over 52% of the Scottish population (about 2.6 million people) and as such has the biggest caseload of the five Scottish rehabilitation technology centres. The largest service in wheelchairs and seating with a caseload of approximately 45,000 patients. It is the largest wheelchair and seating service in the employing approximately 100 people and has a budget of approximately £6.7million. Clinics are conducted within the Centre and at many satellite locations in hospitals and schools across the West of Scotland
An exciting opportunity has arisen within WestMARC for an experienced Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist, to join our dynamic, enthusiastic multi disciplinary team. You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and be a registered member of HCPC.
You should have a broad range of acquired knowledge and Occupational therapy/Physiotherapy skills and a willingness to develop specialist wheelchair and seating skills.
You will provide assessment, prescription and training in use of wheelchairs, pressure relief, cushions and special seating. Having a current driving licence is essential. For additional Information call Susan Gold Team Leader 0141 201 2620.
