An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Respiratory Department for a Charge Nurse to support the Senior Charge Nurse to ensure that high quality, safe, effective, person centered care is delivered.
On a daily basis you will be expected to provide leadership to the wider team supporting effective care planning and safe discharge. You will ensure appropriate learning opportunities are available for all staff, encouraging best practice to deliver a high quality of patient care at all times in line with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clydes Care Assurance Standards. You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse for clinical guidance and professional management. As a Charge Nurse you will be expected to deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse as required. You will demonstrate that you have effective leadership, communication and organisational skills. Evidence of personal development will be expected with a willingness to contribute to education and audit at ward level. A good understanding and knowledge of policy, procedures and local/national priorities will be required to support the team. You will posses substantial experience at band 5 level within a relevant setting and demonstrate a high level of IT skills.
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with substantial post registration experience.
The shift pattern for this post is 11.55 hours rotational.
