NHS Lanarkshire has a trade spend with third party suppliers of over £230m with the Procurement Department providing a comprehensive procurement and logistics service for all Health Board functions. This includes strategic sourcing and advice to improve effectiveness and value for money on all expenditure for goods, services and works

The eProcurement Manager post is key to the improvements we would like to see to our purchase to pay processes and to strengthen our approach to strategic sourcing.

Reporting to our Strategic Sourcing Manager, the post will line manage 3 x Procurement Systems Officers and 3 x Purchasing Officers.

The eProcurement Manager is responsible for supporting NHS Lanarkshire’s Procurement Department to deliver an effective, high quality procurement service for all parts of NHS Lanarkshire. Clear leadership, direction and drive are essential to the role.

The post holder will manage the Board’s operational and tactical procurement activity, including the electronic procurement systems which underpin and facilitate purchasing by end-users and part-time buyers. The post holder will develop and maintain expertise in procurement systems management to provide solutions and strategies which further the Board’s procurement aims and objectives.

A key aim of the post holder will be formulating and implementing – in line with the department’s strategic objectives – policies, processes and procedures which ensure that procurement systems and the operational/tactical procurement service provide efficient and effective capability to NHS Lanarkshire.
