Medicines Management Team

The Medicines Management Team (MMT) is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for promoting excellent prescribing of medicines in Lothian.

We are looking for an Information Officer to work as part of this small team to provide information, analyse data and support education and training. This is a job share position working alongside one other post holder, both of whom assist the team in delivering the work required to support Medicines Governance in NHS Lothian.

You should be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have administrative experience and/or experience in teaching/training with excellent IT skills.

You will be an enthusiastic team player, well organised, self-motivated and an excellent communicator.

The working week is to include a Monday and Tuesday.

To work as part of a team to provide information, education and training, within Medicines Management Team.

To assist the pharmacist(s) and GP in delivering the work required to support Medicines Governance in NHS Lothian.

This includes communication of national prescribing advice, and completing workload statistics.

To analyse data and information to prepare Health Board Reports and annual reports.
