If successful in your application, your role within this position will be to act as a professional and clinical lead for nursing services, within area of responsibility and as required across NHS Lanarkshire. We are seeking an expert practitioner providing professional leadership, support and advice within the multi-disciplinary team across NHS Lanarkshire. You will be required to carry out all relevant forms of nursing care, demonstrate procedures to supervise, coach and mentor registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses. As well as contribute to development of local, national and informative knowledge of Infection, Prevention and Control through contribution to research and specialist publications.
Applying candidates should be a registered general Nurse with post registration practice. Previous expert practice in the speciality and evidence of relevant continued professional development/qualification within the speciality is essential within this role. Candidates should be educated to/or operating at/or working towards Masters Level. Candidates should be able to provide evidence of personal contribution and leading of service planning and redesign projects. Excellent team working skills, with the ability to work on own initiative as well as effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills are integral to this role. Candidates should be able to also provide evidence of clinical leadership and team building within a healthcare setting at managerial level and above.
